David has been the firm’s managing shareholder since 2014. He holds a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from the University of Missouri and an undergraduate degree in accounting from the University of Texas at Arlington. His primary areas of practice include long-term tax planning, IRS representation, corporate and partnership tax, and financial statement preparation. He enjoys running, gardening, and reading The Economist.

After graduating from Texas A&M Corpus Christi with degrees in both Accounting & Marketing, Shannon began her professional career on the gulf coast. Originally from the Metroplex area, Shannon joined JHA in 2014, receiving her CPA license in 2017, Shannon has greatly expanded her areas of practice. Her current focuses are entity tax preparation, tax planning, IRS examinations and financial statement reviews, as well as individual tax preparation and review.

When she isn’t in the office, you’ll usually find her on the golf course, planning her next vacation, or hanging out with her new niece. An avid golfer, Shannon is always the firm’s pick for entry into any scramble contest.

She may be the newest member of the JHA team, but Clair brings over a decade of dedicated experience to the firm. After graduating with a BBA in Accounting, Clair received her CPA license in 2010. While much of her professional experience has been in individual tax, her broad base of knowledge and prior work with corporate filings has quickly made her an integral part of the team.

A native of the Philippines, Clair has called Texas home for over 20 years. When she's not crushing numbers, she's staying up late to watch Food Network, venturing out to try new restaurants, and working on her status as a connoisseur of ribs. She and her husband have a long list of destinations on their travel bucket list, but when they're home they love cheering on the Texas Rangers!

A Nashville native, Rachael joined the JHA team in May of 2018. An honor graduate of Niagara College, she served as the front desk administrator for several years before moving to the back of the house to put her accounting skills to use. In the 6 years she’s been with the firm, Rachael has developed a working relationship with many of our clients, and completed her accounting degree in 2023.

Though she has lived in 7 states before moving to Texas, Haley is happy to call Texas home. She moved to Dallas in 2015 to join the team at Neiman Marcus in Downtown Dallas, but after leaving the world of luxury retail, she joined the firm in 2020. Haley oversees the front office and manages firm development activity. Outside of the office, you’re likely to find her at The Bar Method each morning, driving the mom taxi for her two boys in the afternoons and poolside whenever the weather allows.

Malissa joined the JHA team in 2023 as our front desk administrator, bringing strong organizational skills and a friendly presence to the office. After moving from Denver, she quickly became an essential part of our team, ensuring that every client feels welcome. Outside of the office, Malissa enjoys the lively pace of life with her husband, three kids, and two dogs. Whether she's coordinating family adventures or simply enjoying a quiet moment at home, Malissa’s warmth and dedication shine through in all she does.

Carley relocated from Nashville and joined the JHA team in 2023. She started on the front desk as an administrator and is now transitioning to a back-office role to apply her accounting skills. Outside of work, Carley enjoys spending time with her husband and puppy. Whether she's diving into a good book, grabbing a latte, playing a round of golf, or hitting the pickleball courts, Carley is always up for an adventure.
